net48xx end of life

The AMD Geode SC1100 processor used in the net48xx series boards was discontinued by the manufacturer some time ago. Soekris Engineering did a significant last time buy, but our stock is now running low. We have been able to locate some additional stock, but only of the 233 Mhz version.

The current status of net48xx product availability is:

net4801-50: No longer available, has been replaced by:
net4801-48: 233 Mhz processor, otherwise like the net4801-50, will continue to be available in small/medium quantities until probably Q3 2008.

net4801-60: Will be available in small quantities until we run out of 266 Mhz parts.

net4826-40: Will continue to be available in small/medium quantities until probably Q3 2008.

net4826-50: Available until out of current stock, will be replaced by:
net4826-48: 233 Mhz processor, otherwise like the net4826-50, will continue to be available in small/medium quantities until probably Q3 2008.

The -48 boards using a 233 Mhz processor can be set to run at 266 Mhz using the "set CpuSpeed=266" comBIOS vers 1.33 setting, the voltage to the processor is set to the same 2.0V used for the 266 Mhz processor so it can be expected to be completely stable....
